Ade holds a BSc. Banking & Finance from the Ogun State University, and a Masters in Banking & Finance from the University of Lagos (1996). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, FCIB (2010); an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (ACSI) UK; an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACS) and was a Non-Executive member of the Fund Managers Association of Nigeria, where he serves as the Chairman, Ethics, Standards and Regulations.
He is the President of the National Advisory Council (NAC) Nigeria, of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI), UK.
He has attended various professional courses at the Lagos Business School; IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland; Cranfield University School of Management; and Harvard Business School. He is currently participating in the Owner/President Management Program (OPM) of the Harvard Business School.
He has over 30 years of Commercial and Investment Banking experience, and was the Managing Director, GTBank Ltd, Sierra Leone, where he won the “Bank of the Year” Award (2010) and was responsible for establishing the Interbank Market in Sierra Leone. Prior to this, he was the Managing Director, GTHomes (Mortgage Banking subsidiary of GTBank, now Imperial Mortgage Bank Ltd) and Group Head/AGM, Commercial Banking Group and Corporate Banking, GTBank Plc.
