Simeon Ononobi is a tech founder and serial entrepreneur. A biochemist by training and self-thought software developer and product developer/manager, he is responsible for the first banking mobile app in Nigeria called GTBank Mobile velocity and also worked with Nokia Nigerian to develop mobile apps for GTBank.
He created the first payment startup in Nigeria called SimplePay and also worked with the Federal Government of Nigeria when he developed the largest entrepreneurial grant program in Africa called YouWin! With over 3 million direct and indirect beneficiaries, YouWin! Was a success and as such he was called upon to develop a program for the Arts and Movie industry called Project Act Nollywood.
He has worked with notable technocrats like Dr. Okonjo Iweala and Mr. Sam Ikoku, Rasheed Olaoluwa, Kola Aina, and many others. Simeon Ononobi has also been featured on the TEDx stage, giving a talk on business from a youth perspective. An international speaker and the first African finalist and 1st runner at the prestigious Seedstars global competition for startups.
He has graced stages across the world and also won so many accolades. Currently, a mentor with Google for Startups, Silicon Valley-based Founders Institute, and alumnus of Silicon Valley-based 500 startups, Hong-Kong Based VC/Accelerator Betatron, and Los Angeles-based venture scaling accelerator. His newfound love for businesses has led him to start an award-winning startup ThankUCash, which has a variety of products for businesses and banks to thrive. Simeon Ononobi is the current CEO at ThankUCash also known as Connected Analytics. Simeon is married to serial entrepreneur and co-founder Madonna Ononobi. For fun, he likes to watch and play football, travel when he can, spend time with family, and participate in local philanthropic programs.
