Tijani Nwadei

Tijani Nwadei is an astute professional with a diverse background and extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. With degrees from Texas Christian University (BSc) and Boston University (MA), Tijani has honed his skills in various business and management fields, and has applied them to a range of industries throughout his career.

Tijani began his career in the energy sector twelve years ago. He managed both renewable and non-renewable power assets at NextEra Energy, a Fortune 500 company. His functions cut across risk management and asset optimization for some of the biggest solar powered plants globally. At Alstom (now GE), he was part of the Business Development team tasked with expanding capacity within the power space in Nigeria.

Following this experience in the private sector, Tijani began his role as Technical Advisor to Governor of Edo State (2016-2020), a role he held pro bono publico. In his capacity, he led the development of the Edo State Oil Palm Program and Edo State Electricity Program amongst others.

Tijani is a Founding Partner at Viisaus, Nigeria’s leading data-driven change maker and lobbying firm, providing expert consultancy in politics & policy, technology in public sector and research. He is passionate about socio-economic development and heavily involved in supporting MSMEs.
